COVID-19 completely disrupted the gaming and location-based entertainment world. Although more than 13,000 VR parks opened in 2020 around the world, VR professionals are planning a recession of at least two years ahead of it. Every part of the supply chain is affected. How can this industry cope with the challenges faced?

XR Gaming and LBVR are still a thing! This enthusiasm can be seen in the Viveland figures:  $3.6 billion with a growth rate of 44% worldwide. One of the reasons is that locations and surroundings are designed in such a way that it’s impossible not to take photographs. But with the pandemic, it’s impossible for users to go to these facilities.

COVID-19 has affected two parts in the gaming industry. LBVR had to close and has put challenging opportunities and threats to the owner of this type of entertainment. Moreover, home entertainment has grown massively, in parallel with the development of high-performance standalone VR headsets such as the Oculus Quest.

Discover the latest technologies that help fight COVID-19 in the gaming industry. What can be done to turn the situation around? Many innovations, for example 5G, can bring solutions to revive the gaming industry.

At VRDays Europe 6, leaders from the gaming industry will discuss the many challenges that they are facing today. Join them to find out what solutions they are applying to counter the health situation.
