In today’s times where traveling to another country seems as dangerous as traveling to the past (if we had the means for it, of course), museums play a central role in bringing the world to us.

Speakers at XR Art. Ceci une pipe? will look into the evolution of physical museums impacted by the pandemic and how they have faced the limitation of access to their facilities.

While the role of a museum is to convey our cultural heritage, it can be absurdly costly to move physical  items around the world whilst taking great care to avoid damage.  An alternative to this comes in the form of  showcasing an international virtual museum.

XR Art. Ceci une pipe? hosts talks by curators and artists using XR to develop historical narratives, making them accessible and interactive. Discover the experience of artists using VR/AR to create museum worthy pieces and how these technologies affect the traditional process of curation and buying of these works.
