De Doelen and VRDays join forces; the Immersive/Tech Week will take place this year in De Doelen, in the middle of the dynamic city of Rotterdam. An all-encompassing international multi-day conference where tech, art, education, healthcare and commerce come together. A dazzling week with theme days, workshops, debates, demonstrations and a fair with the latest gadgets and developments. We have ambitious plans for the next edition.

Are you that Business Developer who knows how corporates are involved in events? Who has a black book that you tell U to? Who can serve national and international networks with flair? Then this vacancy is for you.
As a Business Developer you work on a daily basis with the festival director and a sales rep who are deep in the immersive tech world. They have the knowledge and network in the national and international tech world, you have the network in corporate Rotterdam and the Netherlands. You are looking for relevant, content-based partnerships with these parties. Devises actions, events and campaigns that support the mission of the partner and the event. Marketing will support you with an inbound marketing strategy, but initially your work is mainly outbound. But you just like that, being creative, going out to turn leads into prospects in order to eventually receive them as a customer at the event.

The Dutch Virtual Reality Days Foundation was established in 2015 to organize the Dutch VR Days once. Seven years – and seven events – later, VRDays Europe moves under a new name to De Doelen in Rotterdam. In the meantime, the event has grown into an internationally renowned festival where in 2019, the last completely offline edition, 2000+ professional visitors from 60 different countries participated. In 2020 and 2021 have organized an online and a hybrid festival. We have ambitious plans for the next edition. Are you ready for it?

The workload of the position is 0.5 FTE spread over a year. In reality it is 0.6 fte from November to June and 0.2 fte in the months of July to October. The gross salary, based on a full-time contract, is between €4,000 and €5,500 excluding holiday pay.
