De Doelen and VRDays join forces; the Immersive/Tech Week will take place this year in De Doelen, in the middle of the dynamic city of Rotterdam. An all-encompassing international multi-day conference where tech, art, education, healthcare and commerce come together. A dazzling week with theme days, workshops, debates, demonstrations and a fair with the latest gadgets and developments. We have ambitious plans for the next edition.
After seven years of pioneering, of which two years with corona, the time has come for the next step. You are needed for that, you bring new blood, a new look and ambition.
Are you the communicator who knows how to touch the hearts of different target groups? Who can serve national and international networks? Who can plan, can manage and is never short of an idea? Then this vacancy is for you.
As Marketing Manager you work on a daily basis with the festival director, great design team in Poland, newsletter writer in France and a social media manager. You come up with ideas for the campaigns, you make the marketing agenda and you manage the different members of the team. All communication and brand expressions go through your hands. Marketing for this event is challenging because of the many target groups at home and abroad.
You work in a small and close-knit team with a flexible international club of employees. As the year progresses and the event gets closer, the team grows. The permanent core remains and grows with the event.

Organization
Foundation Dutch Virtual Reality Days was founded in 2015 to organize the Dutch VR Days once. Seven years – and seven events – later, VRDays Europe moves under a new name to De Doelen in Rotterdam. In the meantime, the event has grown into an internationally renowned festival where in 2019, the last completely offline edition, 2000+ professional visitors from 60 different countries participated. In 2020 and 2021 have organized an online and a hybrid festival.
Conditions of employment
The position is 0.4 FTE spread over a year. In reality, it is 0.6 FTE from September to December and 0.3 FTE in the months of January to August. The gross salary, based on a full-time contract, is between €3,800 and €5,000 excluding holiday pay.
